Day 4. Its Day 4, right?

Well. Fuck.

Sleeping last night was ok. Lots of weird dreams and some auditory hallucinations. I kept hearing chamber music and laughter, like I was at a powdered wig party in the 1780s. So strange.

My weight is back up a touch but that’s because I ate a shit load of carbs yesterday and had pizza for dinner. I didn’t want to, but I decided that the detox from alcohol was more important than the few extra pounds that will come off next week anyway.

We took the dog for a walk this morning and you can tell from my selfie that I wasn’t feeling it. I had to stop once because I was nauseated. The walk felt pretty good though. I told my wife that I can tell my body feels like an old car that is trying to restart. Like it chugs internally. If that makes any sense to you. I can feel it inside. It feels as if 4 days without alcohol, and drinking a lot of water and taking vitamins and supplements is really starting to work but it’s going to be a chore.

Speaking of supplements, here’s a few things that I have learned during this bullshit journey. If you have been drinking alcohol consistently for a few months or years and have not given yourself a break of more than a few days. And especially if you have been drinking everyday for months at a time like we have been during this pandemic, you need some supplements to help your liver and your pancreas filter out all of the alcohol. In fact it’s entirely possible that I have something right now called alcohol hepatitis. Which is not a contagious version, it basically just means that the alcohol has inflamed my liver to the point where it doesn’t produce bile properly. But I can tell that that is getting better as well thanks to the supplements. The supplements that you may need are going to be iron, vitamin D, fish oil, calcium and get something called milk thistle. I know from my days in the gym world that milk thistle filters your liver properly. And I know this because of all the guys that took the steroids. They were also taking milk thistle.

On another note I see that I am getting a lot of new followers which is great. Because I haven’t advertised this blog at all really. So if you’re sticking your head in here because you’re also doing something like this or trying to get motivated to do something like this oh, I’m glad that you found me.

We have a lot of errands to run today and we’re getting ready for a kayak trip tomorrow which might prove challenging. But I will post some workout videos later this afternoon when I get the gloves on and jump on the heavy bag.

Peace
