There’s a saying in the athletic world. That there’s only two things that you can control. Your attitude and your output. And that applies to more things than just sports. Really that applies to everything you do.
I could actually stop right there and that would be a good post. But this ain’t Twitter and I have lots more to say.
When you’re halfway through your week and you get on the scale and you roller coaster. Again. That is something you can’t control. That is also something that can give you a really crappy attitude. So what can you control? Your attitude, and your output. So you fix your attitude and realize you’re just having a roller coaster moment. And then you plan and and execute your output.
You make sure your diet for the day is super clean and you give 100% in your workout.
That is all you can control.
Your body is going to respond how it’s going to respond. You don’t have control over how your body responds. You have control over your attitude and your output. That’s it.
So I had to do that today. And I gave 100% of whatever gas I had in the tank to my workout but I was insanely sore from yesterday. And I have to admit my workout kind of sucked. But I gave 100%. And that’s all that matters because that’s all I can control.
So we’re heading into the weekend. Friday is my last day to really crush it in the workouts. Saturday is the end of week three weigh-in day. It’ll be almost month and a pretty good barometer on how I’m doing. And then I’ll probably get in one more workout on Sunday before we leave to go camping Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
So what will I be able to control on those 3 days? I can control what I eat. I can control how I exercise. I can control how I sleep. And I can control my attitude.
So that’s the plan. Hope you’re having a fantastic week yourself.
Peace
