I woke up yesterday morning all intent on getting just a killer workout after I got my battle ropes and hung my speed bag. But life threw me a curveball. And as we’ve been talking about all week, all you can control is your attitude and your output. So I had to fix my attitude.
Speed bag came out of the box and it was clearly a returned defective item. Because the support bars were warped. But I was not going to return it. I had to focus on something I could control which would be my output. So I went and bought some wood to make brackets. Did a little on the fly carpentry. And made it work. Now granted it was a two-person job that would have taken 45 minutes and I turned it into a one-person job with on-the-fly carpentry that took 3 hours. But I got it done.
Also when I went to get the battle ropes they were $75 more expensive than I had seen last week. I don’t know what happened between last week and this week but they were $75 more expensive. I didn’t have the extra $75. As I tell my sons I am not made of money. Money doesn’t grow on trees. Money doesn’t fall from the sky homeboy. So all I could do was fix my attitude and control my output.
So instead of buying 50 foot battle ropes that are an inch and a half thick. I bought 4 hundred foot lengths of 3/8 inch poly cord. And wove it together to make two 50 foot lengths of battle rope at 1 and 1/2 in. That’s math, bitch.
However, after all of that four and a half hours had past and I still had to make dinner. I burned about 450 calories sweating my ass off in a hot ass garage building the gym. But you know what? I got to work out in. And that’s all that matters.
Well it’s weigh-in time… so I’m going to step on the scale now and if you’ll read the next paragraph you’ll be able to see whether I’m pissed off or happy.
215.5. You read that right. 215.5!

The graph below is this week’s progress. Next week I will be able to show a full month because, we start week 4 tracking today.
I’m gonna celebrate with some beers and cake…..
Oh. Wait.
Peace
