Monday was unpleasant.
I knew I had to hit it hard on Monday. I got up early in the morning around 5:30 and headed off to do some errands and some work. I got back to the house around 10. Took a little break and decided to head to work out pretty hard at about 1:45.
I put together a circuit workout that consisted of the following:
- 90 seconds of battle ropes
- One minute rest
- 90 seconds of heavy bag
- 45 seconds rest
- 90 seconds of slam ball
- One minute rest
- 60 seconds of 5lb jump rope skips
- One minute rest
- Repeat 4x
That’s 22 mins of exercise. That does not sound like a lot. But trust me. It ain’t a cakewalk. By the time you finish fighting a 5lb jump rope for a solid minute, the following round is a bitch. That heavy jump rope is fuckin diabolical.
After that I cooled down with a short but brisk walk around outside and then a big ass glass of water. I was dripping with sweat by the end.
As I said yesterday, busting through plateau periods are harder than most people think. You have to work extra hard and have a specific kind of focus.
Tomorrow, we will be doing a whole new thing. I’ll fill you in after the day has finished. In the meantime, I am focused and centered.
Peace.
