We’re back.
Actually we’ve been back a couple of days but things have been a little hectic and I haven’t had time to write a blog post. The vacuum and the coffee maker decided to die on the same day. So that was fun. Nothing like going to the store and spending $300 on something that you thought was perfectly fine a day ago. But hey we like our coffee and we like our floors clean so you got to do what you got to do.
The lake was a good time all in all. The place we camped was a little janky but we had a good time out on the water. And the weather was nice. And everybody had a good time so that’s all that matters.
However when you go camping you don’t eat very well, because there’s really nothing else to do. And it wasn’t like we ate bad we just kind of grazed on things throughout the day. I had too much sugar.
I got home and got on the scale and was not pleased but a couple of days have now gone by and everything is evening back out.
However, my best advice to you is; if you go camping or go on vacation give yourself a week before you hop back on the scale.
While we were gone we did pass our one month marker for being without alcohol. And I passed an important Milestone of being able to go to a Brewpub and not be tempted. I drank iced tea. It was very empowering.
I said I wasn’t tempted and maybe that’s not exactly true. Right at the beginning I was tempted to order a beer. But not because I wanted one really. It was more out of habit. It was more out of being in a Brewpub and finding it odd to not have a beer.
So we Soldier on. Today is Friday. I have to get out and get a workout in today. The two days of relaxing after coming back from camping is over now. And tomorrow is the end of a 1-month weigh-in day. So I would certainly like to see the number 214 on the scale. I weighed myself this morning and I think I have a shot. But I will need to put in the work today and be really mindful of my intake.
Peace
